About the Job

The NanoSteel Company (NanoSteel) is seeking a Product Engineer to join our team in Providence, RI and support the commercialization of a new product form.

The Product Engineer will be responsible for working with customers and vendors to develop products and transition them from development to commercialization. The successful candidate will develop product requirements, build and test prototypes and models to demonstrate performance, develop product specifications, and transition products from development to commercial production. The Product Engineer will also identify and qualify vendors for the conversion of foil and strip products into usable product forms. Assessment of new product opportunities and markets will involve the Product Team including the Product Engineer.


Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical or Materials Engineering

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects, with strong attention to detail, and excellent follow-up skills

  • 3+ years of experience in a Product Development role

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills

  • Project management experience

  • Ability to work in a small, high-paced, startup environment

  • Willingness and ability to travel 20-40% of the time

  • US Citizenship required
